VRRP feature - Session Sync issue:
An issue with session sync was introduced in 4.1.1. The session sync may fail between legacy software versions (e.g., 2.7.x, 2.8.x, 4.1.0-PX and older) when migrating to the first 3 versions of 4.1.1 software (i.e. 4.1.1, 4.1.1-P1and 4.1.1-P2), and this could cause the standby ACOS device to reload during the upgrade process.
4.1.1, 4.1.1-P1, and 4.1.1-P2
For ADC and CFW: The best option is to upgrade older code to 4.1.1-P3 and above.
For CGN: The best option is to upgrade to 4.1.2 and above.
Set 1: 2.7.x, 2.8.x, 4.1.0(PX)
Set 2: 4.1.1, 4.1.1-P1, 4.1.1-P1-SP1, 4.1.1-P2
Set 3: 4.1.1-P3 and above, 4.1.2 and above
Detailed upgrade path:
Set 1 to Set 1, no issues with session sync
Set 1 to set 2, you must isolate the device and upgrade each box individually then reestablish HA again.
Set 2 to set 2, no issues with session sync.
Set 2 to set 3, you must isolate the device and upgrade each box individually then reestablish HA again.
Set 1 to set 3, no issues with session sync.
The left column represent the code you will upgrade From: , and the top row is the code you will upgrade To:
Ok = no session sync issue. Upgrade via the prescribed path forward found in the SW release notes.
BSS = must break session sync, i.e. you must isolate the device and upgrade each box individually then reestablish HA again.
