Home Resource Center Glossary DS-Lite

DS-Lite is an IPv6 migration technology, where the access network of the service provider is running IPv6. IPv4 traffic from a client (also referred to as the B4 point) is tunneled over IPv6 to the DS-Lite gateway (also referred to as AFTR point) where the client's IPv4 traffic is translated through CGN and routed to the IPv4 public Internet.
