AX Series Application Delivery Controllers Provide Server Load Balancing and SSL Acceleration for Performance and High Availability
Australia, March 28, 2013 -- A10 Networks™, the technology leader in Application Networking, today announced that Micron21, a Melbourne-based data center operator, has selected A10's AX Series Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) as the server load balancing and SSL acceleration platform for the Good Friday Appeal online charity auction.
The Good Friday Appeal is an annual fundraising activity to raise money for The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia with participants including individuals and businesses, clubs, schools and country towns throughout the state.
Micron21 provides hosting services for the Good Friday Appeal online auction site to support its high volume real-time network traffic. In the spirit of the Good Friday Appeal, A10 is donating two of its high-performance 64-bit AX Series appliances with 10 Gb port connectivity to accelerate, optimize and secure traffic for Micron21's hosting site, which includes a cluster of backend servers. AX Series delivers industry-leading return on investment (ROI) by leveraging A10's 64-bit Advanced Core OS (ACOS), with a scalable shared-memory architecture that leaps the competition in scalability and flexibility.
James Braunegg, Managing Director from Micron21, says, "Micron21 is home to hundreds of thousands of internet websites and cloud services, which include local, national and international businesses and government agencies powered by our global network and hosted in our mission critical highly redundant secure data center. The combination of Micron21 services in conjunction with A10 hardware accelerated load balancers is delivering a complete online platform capable of delivering massive amounts of spontaneous traffic for the live auction site for the Good Friday Appeal, which we are extremely proud to support."
"We are proud to deliver A10's 64-bit AX Series to support the Good Friday Appeal online charity event with our customer Micron21 in the Australia region" said Hayato Koeda, President and CEO for A10 Networks KK, and Vice President of South APAC. "Our AX Series, powered by ACOS, provides high performance to deliver reliable online auction services with scalability to accommodate heavy capacity demands."
The 82nd annual Good Friday Appeal is held on 29th March 2013:
