Cyso Increases Security Capability with A10 Networks Thunder ADC Solutions

Managed hosting provider selects A10 ADCs to meet growing demand for SSL offloading

SAN JOSE, Calif. – November 16, 2015 – A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN), a technology leader in application networking, announced that managed hosting provider Cyso implemented new A10 Thunder Application Delivery Controller (ADC) solutions in order to increase the security capability for its clients. With this, Cyso is anticipating the rapidly growing demand for SSL offloading in order to prevent cyber-attacks by means of secure connections.

Security, performance and price
Cyso is a service provider to clients with stringent requirements for the security of hosted web services, such as financial service providers and e-commerce companies. “Last year the demand for SSL offloading grew strongly with our clients,” says Tjebbe de Winter, chief technology officer and managing partner for Cyso, “because they want to prevent cyber criminals from hacking into their networks or installing malware by means of secure connections. In the delivery of web services, organizations always have to choose among the desired levels of safety, performance and price. We want to provide our clients with A+ SSL security and application security by investing in A10 Thunder ADCs.”

Tenfold computing power
“Within just one year, the required computer power for coding and decoding network traffic by means of a single SSL connection has increased tenfold,” says de Winter. “At the same time, the use of SSL connections has greatly increased.” If that number crunching is carried out by web servers themselves, these servers become more sluggish and possibly not accessible. Instead, more and more companies are implementing specially developed ADCs. “Because we have now been using A10 ADCs for more than four years to our complete satisfaction, we of course also purchased these new models from them,” continues de Winter. “From the time we installed our first A10 Networks ADCs, they have been working without the slightest problem.”

Load balancing across redundant data centers
Cyso has redundant data centers in which A10 Networks ADCs control application performance, SSL offloading and WAF security. The total capacity available for this is delivered according to the clients’ needs as part of the managed hosting service.

“Cyso is a premium provider that distinguishes itself in the market with the highest possible availability and performance,” says Sanjay Kapoor, vice president global marketing for A10 Networks. “I am delighted that for this investment, Cyso again opted for an A10 Networks solution. We strive to provide A10 customers with the tools needed to create an amazing application experience that is fast, always on, safe and secure.”
