A10 Networks And Lancope, Inc. Form Technology Alliance

Leveraging A10's IP-to-ID Technology, Lancope Introduces Industry's First Network Behavior Analysis Appliance with Automated, Instant Identity Tracking Capability

SAN JOSE, CA, June 5, 2006 - A10 Networks™ and Lancope, Inc., the provider of StealthWatch, the most widely used Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) and response solution, today announced that they have formed an exclusive technology partnership through which Lancope will offer A10's IP address-to- Identity (IP to ID™) correlation technology as part of its new StealthWatch IDentity-1000. StealthWatch IDentity-1000 is the first solution to instantly tie network traffic and host behavior to actual users.

By automating user identity tracking and tying network events to the actual end user, StealthWatch IDentity-1000 streamlines quarantine and remediation efforts and delivers powerful auditing capabilities for regulatory compliance. This appliance-based solution enables scalable, cost-effective user tracking and reporting for network optimization and security without requiring software agents or other services. The new appliance is an integral component of Lancope's StealthWatch System 5.5.

A10 Networks - Resolving IP to ID Instantly
Today, troubleshooting and forensic procedures often require manual review of machine addresses, such as MAC and TCP/IP addresses, for resolution to user identity. This can require many steps and involve multiple network services and IT personnel. For instance, in large networks with separate DHCP, DNS, and directory data stores spread out over large distances, resolving user identity from machine addresses can take hours. A10 Networks IP-to-ID Services, which power the new Lancope solution, are designed to provide fast and automated identity resolution for virtually any application that requires linking user identity to IP or MAC addresses.

"Lancope and A10 provide new generation appliances with the simplicity and strength of A10's IP-to-ID resolution technology. Without automated identity resolution, the best security and network monitoring systems in the world still have a blind spot. Automating identity resolution will fulfill a profound need in the IT community and allow industry-leading companies like Lancope to continue delivering more powerful solutions to their customers," said Lee Chen, CEO of A10 Networks.

"StealthWatch ID-1000 is a powerful addition to our StealthWatch family of appliances. We are now providing network and security administrators with the ability to automatically know who is responsible and who is affected when unexpected events happen anywhere on an enterprise network," said Harland LaVigne, president and CEO of Lancope. "The combination of StealthWatch's NBA and response technology with the ability to directly link individual user logins to specific network events makes ID-1000 an ideal decision support system for network engineers, helpdesk support personnel and security analysts across the enterprise."

As the newest addition to the award-winning StealthWatch System, StealthWatch IDentity-1000 delivers the following features:
