Internet of Things (IoT) security has dominated the headlines the past few months. From the destructive Mirai malware (which is showing no signs of slowing down) to other massive IoT-fueled distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, it seems connected devices are the hot method of choice for attackers.

But don’t go off the grid and don a foil hat just yet. Following a few simple best practices can help keep IoT devices secure.
