Oracle OpenWorld Recap: Application Delivery Cup, Anyone?

Some say the biggest news at Oracle OpenWorld this year was Larry Ellison skipping out of his Keynote for the America’s Cup. Following, Ellison’s Oracle Team won the sailing event in a spectacular comeback. That’s enough fodder for multiple Keynotes next year. Or enough said. Nonetheless the conference claims to have drawn 60,000 attendees from 145 countries with big announcements coming out of Oracle and its many partners.

With clear blue, sunny skies in San Francisco, some folks never made it past the outside street lounge on Howard. We know you were in the expo hall if you saw the black VW micro-bus, complete with z-rated tires. Thanks to all who stopped by A10’s booth this year. Hopefully you were able to play our Wheels of Thunder for prizes, or fame.

It was our first year on-site at the event and we shared new and existing Oracle Deployment Guides for Application Server, E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, Siebel CRM, Web Logic and more. With these guides, customers have the necessary tools to deploy our new line of Thunder Series next-generation Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) and industry-proven AX Series ADCs rapidly, versus weeks or months.
