Oracle Application Server
Oracle Application Server is an integrated, standards-based software platform consisting of Oracle HTTP Server and OC4J (OracleAS Containers for J2EE), which deploys J2EE-based applications.
The AX Series is designed for applications such as Oracle Application Server providing better robustness in failover situations, intelligent load sharing and offloading security processing.
Oracle E-Business Suite
Oracle's E-Business Suite is a fully integrated system package that provides access to Oracle's business applications in a database environment. The E-Business Suite contains different products, such as Oracle Financials (Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Payables, Oracle Receivable). Oracle E-Business Suite provides operational productivity, increases efficiency and reduces back-office costs with standardized processes for shared services, productivity tools, and integrated performance management. The software utilizes Oracle's core Oracle relational database management system technology.
The AX Series, with its Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS), has been designed specifically to provide better robustness in failover situations and perform intelligent load sharing of Oracle E-Business Suite application servers. In addition, the AX Series increases security, reliability and optimization to critical applications such as Oracle E-Business Suite.

Oracle's Siebel Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is the world's most advanced CRM solution, delivering a combination of transactional, analytical and engagement features to manage all customer-facing transactions. Siebel solutions can be custom tailored into solutions for more than 20 diverse industries, with comprehensive on-premise and on-demand CRM.
A10 Networks' AX Series provides a scalable and redundant solution in a Siebel multi-server environment. The AX Series Application Deliver Controllers (ADCs) can provide advanced server load balancing services for Siebel CRM as well as application acceleration and optimization.
Oracle WebLogic
WebLogic, a leading e-commerce online transaction processing (OLTP) platform, is based on the Java 2 platform, Enterprise Edition (JSEE), which is the standard platform used to create Java-based multi-tier enterprise applications. WebLogic Server allows for the quick development and deployment of reliable, secure, scalable and manageable applications.
The AX Series delivers High Availability, performance, reliability and scalability for Oracle WebLogic Servers.

We considered adding application acceleration features to our F5 BIG-IP server load balancers, but the licensing fees were very high. After evaluating A10's AX Series, we learned that we could provide faster acceleration, at half the price.
