We evaluated a number of different high-performance server load balancers. Among them were appliances from Cisco, F5, Coyote Point and Foundry. A10's AX series are new generation server load balancers that convinced us the most. They offer the highest performance and scalability and ensure fast and secure Web applications for end users. With the A10 AX Series Application Delivery Controllers we are ready for future growth.
Ulrich Nägele, Team Leader Technical Services
After having implemented the A10 Networks' 64bit AX 2500 we got the confirmation that our initial thought of a high level solution is correct: the general technology, the intuitive GUI, the redundant power supplies, the very efficient storage tapes and the very high performance of the 64bit platform; additionally the simple licensing and the excellent performance in price convinced us. With this solution we received a huge competitive advantage. On the one hand side we can provide high performance applications for employees and members faster, on the other hand side administration volume has been reduced. For example SSL encryption is no longer scheduled on the webservers but on the load balancers. I think that encryption of EP:Infonets is a real milestone. It never resulted in a decline in making web application available. It was opposite: While deploying two 64bit AX 2500 in a cluster we can save 30 percent of the web traffic although delivering the applications faster. This is more than we ever expected.
We selected A10 Networks as it delivers the most capable solution. We look forward to a successful partnership with A10 to deliver powerful, carrier class IPv4/IPv6 solutions to help our global customers preserve investments while providing a clear path to IPv6, efficiently and affordably.
Melih Tufan, Head of Product Line Packet Networks at Ericsson

The AX 1000 has proven to have a lot of performance in a small 1U, non-modular form-factor. We were maxing out the processing power of our legacy load balancer in terms of concurrent connections and SSL handshakes per second. The AX 1000 has proven to have at least 6x the capacity on both counts, at less than half the price of our legacy load balancer, and including feature parity with the "big boys." A10 has made a technical marvel. Plus, their staff is very technical, responsive, and helpful.
Shawn Carroll, SaaS Network Engineering Manager Featured on Network World »

The ServerIron boxes that we'd purchased a year before weren't scaling as well as we'd hoped and had essentially become obsolete. When first installed, the ServerIron CPUs were at about 10–20 percent utilization. However, we have experienced tremendous growth in the last year, and we offer a unique solution that causes our users to come to our site and to remain continuously connected with our servers for sessions that sometimes last for several for days. Under these circumstances, the ServerIron load balancers were soon at 100 percent CPU utilization, while the A10 Networks 64-bit AX Series appliances were at only 5–10 percent CPU utilization for same price point.
Simon Yeo, Senior Director of Operations
The price/performance value proposition delivered by A10's AX Series is a perfect fit for our business. The AX platforms are operating at 2 percent CPU usage, versus 50-60 percent with the previous solution.
