AX SERIES ADVANCED TRAFFIC MANAGER

Next-generation Server Load Balancer

A10 Networks' AX Series is the industry's best price/performance advanced traffic manager - helping enterprises and ISPs maximize application availability through a high-performance and scalable application delivery platform. The AX's Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS) architecture has garnered the company numerous awards and is revolutionary by market standards due to native multi-systems support - which includes an optimized multi-CPU architecture built from the ground up that leaps the competition in terms of performance, scalability and reliability.

The AX's ACOS architecture scales performance across multiple decoupled CPUs and specialized programmable ASICs linearly to ensure maximum scalable performance, including when all of the features are turned on. The AX Series' aRule Advanced Scripting technology provides ultimate policy creation flexibility to deliver rich traffic inspection and switching capabilities, helping organizations adapt to ever changing conditions and application types.

The AX Series includes the following features:

Revolutionary Advanced Core Operating System (ACOS) leverages modern architectures
Tuned for multiple CPUs with multiple cores
Industry's best SSL and Layer 4-7 price/performance – never sacrifice features for performance
aRule scripting language for flexible traffic management
Supports IPv4 and IPv6
Carrier-grade hardware components
Increases transactions per watt and reduces power requirements

We chose A10's AX Series because it is the best price/performance server load balancer on the market and the first in the Web application delivery market that is tuned for multi-core CPU systems. The A10 team is staffed with Layer 4-7 networking experts that carefully designed the server load balancing solution that is tuned for our exact needs. As a result, we have the best server load balancer technology on the market, and our customers are happy with our application speed.
-Rick Ku, MIS Assistant Chief for Game Flier

As the provider of end-to-end services for mobile carriers and millions of wireless handsets around the world, our network must always be fast and reliable. We chose A10 Networks' AX Series next-generation server load balancers to enhance our carrier-grade network because they provide a new industry price/performance milestone that leaps ahead of incumbents' offerings in this market – which allows our service to be more competitive.
-Willy Lee, senior director of operations for Core Mobility

With 50 million users and a new high-volume system coming online, we needed to build a solution to ensure that traffic bottlenecks are prevented before they occur. We chose A10's AX 2100 switches as our application delivery platform because of their impressive performance and competitive price, plus the customer service and response from the A10 team.
-Jason Pelzer, program manager for the Lime Wire Store

The A10 team used its super computing chops to develop its own operating system (called the Advanced Core Operating System or ACOS) which can perform high-speed parallel processing without slowing down to distribute or copy packets across multiple CPUs. This algorithm is more efficient than other industry devices that rely on the Linux operating system and its much less efficient parallel processing capabilities. The ACOS operating system is supported by A10's custom ASICs which are added to its devices to achieve a foundation of line-rate switching and routing to keep the devices humming along.
-Jon Oltsik, senior analyst for Enterprise Strategy Group

A10 Networks' AX Series is an application acceleration switch that delivers an industry leading price-performance architecture. With its unique Advanced Core Operation System and flexible aRule scripting language, the AX Series easily integrates with existing application infrastructures to help customers provide high levels of scalability and flexibility, to ensure availability for business critical services.
