As we begin 2011, IPv6 migration initiatives come to the foreground for many IT departments worldwide while planning for network growth and requirements over the next couple years. And we are now marking our calendars for June 8, 2011 which is the "World IPv6 Day" trial when Web presences, including the Internet's most popular Web sites (e.g. Facebook, Google and Yahoo), will participate in the first worldwide trial of IPv6. You can read NetworkWorld's recent coverage of World IPv6 Day here.
As we prepare for World IPv6 Day, A10 will share tips regarding solving IPv4 exhaustion issues, including seamless IPv6 migration and the need for IPv4/IPv6 translation as both protocols will coexist for at least another decade. Many organizations believe that to solve the IPv4 exhaustion problem they need very expensive core routers, but A10 delivers a cost-effective, high-performance alternative with our AX Series Application Delivery Controllers. The AX Series feature today the most advanced technologies for IPv4 preservation, IPv4/IPv6 co-existence and full IPv6 migration. In fact, the world's first carrier IPv6 deployments are now live and in production with our AX Series.
Are you participating in the World IPv6 Day or preparing your IPv4/IPv6 initiatives for 2011 and beyond? If so, give us a call or send us an email and we are happy to share some tips and tricks, or simply use your AX Series appliance to participate.
