A10 Networks

Word from the CEO

Interop Las Vegas was an exciting show for A10 Networks last month. We introduced VirtualN, the industry’s most flexible, high performance and energy efficient solution for Web Application Delivery. VirtualN is a new feature within A10's AX Series of next-generation server load balancers that allows customers to scale network performance and throughput linearly with each additional AX device. Results of a VirtualN independent third-party performance test by The Tolly Group showed that Virtual4 with four AX units deliver the following benefits over F5’s competing VIPRION solution, fully loaded.

  • L4 connections per second nearly 2x faster
  • L7 transactions per second over 20% faster
  • SSL transactions per second over 2x faster
  • Scale any L4 and L7 application linearly
  • Easy and flexible deployment
  • Less power and space requirements
  • Next month at Interop Tokyo we are excited to demonstrate VirtualN as well as AX’s industry leading IPv6 capabilities on-site.

    Interop Las Vegas 2008 Wrap-up

In A10’s booth, attendees watched flash presentations for AX Series and VirtualN, and participated in SwingToob, an online golf swing analysis program with a resident golf coach on-site. Participants registered for the on-site raffle to win a grand prize Callaway X460 Driver, which was awarded to Alfredo Cuentas Leyva, director general for Luz Y Fuerza De Baja (Light and Power of Baja). The runner up winner, Alan Hall from Solera Networks, won a Hank Haney SmartPath Swing Trainer.

VirtualN was well received in the press and garnered numerous articles in top tier publications:
