Link Load Balancing

Link load balancing is the method of equally distributing network traffic functions across an array of links. When implemented, link load balancing products provide increased network reliability, optimized link utilization capabilities and network redundancy. Advanced link load balancers, such as A10 Networks EX Series optimize links at layer 7 (the application layer) as well as the network layer.

Organizations can seamlessly increase bandwidth by subscribing to new links and add more bandwidth without network interruption. This results in a net decrease in overall bandwidth access costs. Link redundancy ensures 24/7 internet connectivity and traffic reliability by avoiding service outages to internal and external network users, and can avoid, the alternative of, slow BGP failover. A10 Networks EX Series provides advanced link load balancing capabilities.
